Methera is our latest holiday cottage for two. Loving renovated for 2020 we've created wonderful bijou accommodation in a sleek and modern style, providing everything for a 5* stay.
Methera Cottage provides the ultimate place to escape and relax in Lake District. It is a perfect cosy, rural retreat with modern, comfortable luxury throughout.
Ideal for a couple looking for a peaceful break away in the Lake District without the crowds; yet central enough to be able to enjoy all the attractions that the South Lakes has to offer.
It was so beautiful, a lovely retreat. Our host had literally thought of everything and made sure we had anything we might need. Loads of beautiful walks straight from your door, it was ideal and we would definitely stay again.
Dream
Bright bold décor, high ceilings and two windows flooding - the room with natural light make this a special room. Coordinated elegant furnishings, an inviting deep, pocket sprung double mattress and even a sky light over the bed to star gaze completes this inviting room. There is also a practical yet stylish built in vanity area with sink.
Retreat & Relax
The open plan living space with modern styling gives this cottage its contemporary feel. Compact, but it all works, with designated space for dining, cooking and relaxing. Enjoy dinner in this light and airy room, then curl up with your favourite tipple in front of the television which offers a range of SKY digital channels.
The large window brings the outdoors in and the high ceilings add to the feeling of space. Watching the horses and Coal Yeat wildlife provides much more entertainment than the TV!
The brand new shaker style kitchen is well equipped with all you need to create a meal with the bonus of an integrated dishwasher, electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave and fridge/freezer.

Compact, but modern and fun with a shower cubicle and on demand hot water.
Outside
Directly outside Methera has its own outside seating in a private flagged veranda. A stone outbuilding is provided for guests personal use and is great for storage of bikes/mountain gear or a kennel for a dog. There is also a private parking space right next to the cottage.
